Deaf Cancer & Wellbeing Workshop, November 2019
On 23rd November 2019, we held a conference attended by over 50 Deaf people from across the East Midlands. Our invited presenters, Ramon Wolfe and Freda Bradshaw talked about their experiences of having cancer and their treatments.
The conference was well received. All presentations and discussions were in BSL.
Niki Johnson also gave feedback about the Self Help UK MacMillan Cancer Beyond Diagnosis project involving members of the Deaf Community.
